Chuck Selfe

Chuck Selfe

In the more than twenty years that Chuck has been involved with the music business, one of the most important things he has learned is that a good acoustic performer needs to be versatile.

As one might judge from Chuck’s song list, he spent the first portion of his music career involved primarily with classic, progressive, and alternative rock bands. This influence is reflected in his repertoire, which includes many selections of these genres.  Chuck has also thought to include songs that are considered to be lighter and more acceptable to a more mature audience.  Consequently, his repertoire is amenable to a mixed audience whether gathered in a pub, restaurant, or private party.

What is probably Chuck’s most appealing quality is that he performs songs that are familiar but not often heard in an acoustic arrangement.  While in college, he often found ways to adapt modern or progressive rock songs to an acoustic setting.  It is really these selections that have become his “trademark”.  In many of the places where Chuck performs regularly these unusual songs, as well as his increasingly requested originals, have become very popular with the patrons.

If you are a regular at DGB, then you know our vibe is beer and music. So, we were super excited and honored that Stan asked us to be the host venue for his new album release.

Stan is a staple here at DGB, so please join us in celebrating the release of his new LP titled "About Time"! When asked about the title, Stan told us that the name comes from the realization that I've spent far too long NOT doing the thing that I love to do. And so, it's "About Time" I started writing, recording, and playing music again. Pretty awesome!!

His son, Caleb, and Dan Houtz are each going to play a solo set before he plays through the album. It's going to be a great night for music, so come out and celebrate with Stan.

Top Nach

Top Nach

At Top Nach, we top our nachos with love — so each chip is the perfect bite.

We believe that nachos don’t get the respect they deserve — and we’re here to do something about it! Our nachos are never soggy (too many toppings), never naked (not enough toppings), and never disrespected by fake cheese sauce or canned jalapeños (the wrong toppings).

We're all about the chips (and we aren't talking about money). We fry 'em up fresh so they stay crispy and artfully arrange them in a single layer for maximum topping exposure.

We lovingly top our chips with melty cheeses and fresh, top-quality ingredients before baking them to order in a piping-hot pizza oven. (Fun fact: we even serve our nachos in small pizza boxes for easy transport and devouring.)

We drizzle our nachos with homemade sauces to make them perfectly balanced — from our signature TOP hot sauce to our cooling cremas.

We live to eat (not eat to live) — and our food is a reflection of that. While we do everything we can to cater to dietary needs and restrictions, our nachos are intentionally indulgent and unapologetically naughty (kinda like our hashtag #getontop).

New Musicians - Woo Hoo Duo

Covering your favorite rock, country, and acoustic classics from the 70s to today. Jim’s mix of songs cover a wide range of artists and genres. Jim truly has something for everyone.

Joe’s musical journey started on the streets of New York City, where he picked up a guitar at just eight years old and never looked back. By fifteen, he was already a fixture in the NYC club circuit, sharpening his craft on real stages in front of real crowds.

After relocating to Maryland in 2002, Joe became a driving force in several regional bands, including Cold Sweat, Stolen Identity, and The Woo Hoo. His playing is rooted in the soul of the blues and the fire of classic rock, drawing inspiration from icons like Santana, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

With over five decades of experience, Joe brings a seasoned, expressive style to every performance — a blend of groove, grit, and melodic storytelling that continues to energize audiences across the Mid‑Atlantic.

Please welcome this amazing duo to DGB!

Brian’s been playing bass for 35 years and played saxaphone before that. He shifted his focus from a solo artist to guitar playing, so bass and singing have been his priority.

Tonight, Brian Swain and Jon Harvey join Brian for this second month in our series.

New Musicians - Tuna Wagon

Many of our Open Mic Night folks know the two members of this duo: Joe Waicukauski on vocals and playing banjo/guitar and Evan Loveless playing the xylophone and drums. Tuna Wagon is a roots-driven band built on constant change. With a rotating mix of vocals, guitar, banjo, drums, and xylophone, their sound shifts throughout each set — staying dynamic and surprising.

They blend originals with curated covers; recognizable songs you don’t often hear, alongside lesser-known gems that feel like discoveries. Some hit with fast-paced, boot-stomping energy, while others settle into slower, thoughtful grooves.

Please come out and support their first gig on this last Sunday in March.
